Answer: Modernism is an art movement from the early 20th c. A big idea in it was that art is spontaneous and from the mind as opposed to an academic translation of a ;landscape, portrait, still life. Cubism is part of it and abstract Expression was at the end of it Pop Art is its own thing and all art after that is contemporary art
