Jackson Pollock's Art = abstract or nonobjective?

Question: yeah, basically is Jackson Pollock's art work, all the splatter painting and what-not, considered to be abstract or non objective. thanks

Answer: he is always classified as an "abstract expressionist." his earlier work is definately abstract. he is taking something or someone and abstracting them. breaking down the image. however, i would consider his famous "drip period" as non-objective because i don't think he abstracting anything. most of the time those paintings are just numbered. such as "Number 10."
